At the heart of UPLB’s science community stands the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), a regional institution dedicated to safeguarding Southeast Asia’s natural wealth. From its home in Los Baños, it works closely with ASEAN member states, governments, and international partners to advance biodiversity protection across the region. Its programs span research, policy support, capacity-building, and public education—addressing crucial topics such as ecosystem services, protected areas, wildlife conservation, and climate resilience. With UPLB’s scientific expertise as a strong foundation, the ACB fosters collaboration to preserve the region’s shared ecological heritage.
