Commemorating Eid Al-Adha – A Celebration of Faith, Sacrifice, and Peace
On Friday, June 6, 2025, the Philippines will join the global Muslim community in observing Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice)—a time of reflection, devotion, and unity. Declared a regular holiday under Proclamation No. 911 by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., this day reminds us of the values of obedience, generosity, and selflessness. Eid Al-Adha holds deep significance as it commemorates the willingness to sacrifice for faith and the greater good. It is a celebration not only of tradition but also of compassion, peace, and community spirit. As we observe this special occasion, may it inspire us all—regardless of faith—to live with kindness, share blessings with others, and strengthen the bonds that unite us. Eid Mubarak to our Muslim brothers and sisters!
