Job Description

The Interim Manager will be responsible for a variety of key operational and administrative functions, including:

  • Assisting the Board of Directors (BOD) in the formulation and implementation of policies, plans, and programs for the administration and management of the cooperative.
  • To plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control the activities of the cooperative in accordance with approved policies and programs.
  • Submitting to the BOD the proposed annual budget of the cooperative in accordance with the provisions of the by-laws and sound cooperative practices.
  • Reporting to the BOD the monthly status of operation of the cooperative.
  • Coordinating with different standing special committees re programs and activities.
  • Exercising general supervision over the personnel and functions of the different sections/units of the cooperative.
  • Performing the duties of the Secretary of the BOD in his/her absence.
  • Directing and coordinating the overall phases of the business operations of the cooperative.
  • Maintaining records of the cooperative in such a manner that the true conditions may be ascertained from time to time.
  • Implementing administrative and financial policies of the cooperative.
  • Performing other related activities that may be assigned by the BOD from time to time.


Position Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Requirement: BS degree in accounting, business, or management course or college graduate with at least 12 units in accounting and/or management or economics.
  • Experience: Must have at least 2 years supervisory experience in a Cooperative or related business (banking, lending), preferably at least 1 year experience as Manager or Officer-in-Charge of a Cooperative or related business; OR must not be engaged directly or indirectly in any business similar to the Cooperative.
  • Location: Preferably residing within the area of operation (Laguna).
  • Skills: Computer literate and updated with current operating systems/applications.
  • Legal Status: Must not have been convicted or charged of any administrative or criminal case.
